Miners Strikes

Several national strikes occurred within the mining industry. They were in 1921, 1926 and 1984. These brought hardship and bitterness to the mining communities.

1921 strike 1921 strike: There was a three months strike.
1926 strike 1926 strike: British industry stopped on 4th May, 1926 when a General Strike was declared.
