Rugeley Police Station Occurrence Book And Criminal Register, 1859-1872


Note on page 9 the long string of previous convictions and penalties (spilling over onto page 10) of John Russell, a 40-year-old bricklayer of 'Rotten Street', Lichfield.  These include trespass in search of game, cruelty to animals and dog-fighting. The equally unsavory George Wright, also of Lichfield, appears on page 8.
