Registration

In order to access the 'MY ALBUM' facility you first need to register on the site. Registration is free and only requires you to select a username and password. You can also submit an e-mail address. Submitting an e-mail address allows us to keep you informed of upcoming events and any new developments on the web site. These details will not be passed on to third party organisations or used for any purpose not related to the Staffordshire Past Track web site.

Selecting your username

The username you select must be at least 5 characters long and cannot include any extended characters (e.g. spaces, quotes, underscores, etc.). You may find that your initial choice has already been allocated to another user. Under these circumstances you can return to the registration form and select another. For example, if you try for the username 'peter' this may be already taken. You may have more luck with 'PeterSmith'.

Passwords

Passwords must be a minimum of 6 characters and like the username cannot include any extended characters. It is important to note that passwords are case sensitive. So, be careful when initially inputting your password that your CAPS LOCK is not on. Otherwise, you may have problems subsequently logging in on your next visit.

What are Albums?

Albums are a feature that allow you to bookmark and organise resources that you have found on the site. Once you have registered you can create as many albums as you need to organise the resources that you collect as you explore the site, you can even add your own private notation.
