Sari, about 2000
This sari was purchased in India and worn to parties by Priti Vishwabhan of Stafford. The sari is made of a single length of fabric woven with gold thread. It is worn with a cotton blouse and gold coloured scandals.

Saris can be worn in different ways. This style of wearing the sari, with the patterned end of the fabric hanging over the front of the body, is particularly popular in the Gujarat area of India.
Kindly loaned by Priti Vishwabhan, Stafford
