Evening dress, 1920s
Georgette dress decorated with silver sequins and clear glass beads. The style of the decoration suggests links with both the popular Art Nouveau movement and the new Art Deco movement, which was growing in popularity during the 1920s. The mid-1920s saw the emergence of 'scandalously' short, knee length skirts.

This dress was purchased in Paris and sent to the donor who lived in Eccleshall

Beaded handbag. This sytle of bag was popular during the 1920s. Accessory Handbag image
