The Burslem authorities get tough on firework and firearm abuse on coronation day, 1838

CAUTION.

A fatal Accident having occurred on a recent occasion, from the FIRING OF
CANNON, GUNS, &c.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN,

That all Persons who shall be detected in Firing off any Cannon, Gun, Pistol,or
othe Fire-arms, or letting off any Fire-Works, in the streets, on the Day of the Coronation, will be immediately taken into custody, and rigorously dealt with accoring to the Law.
