The table as seen in this extract gives the date of entry; the year; date of appearance; whence and whether prest (pressed) or not; number and letter of tickets; mens names; quality; D or R [discharged or released]; date of discharge; year; what reason.

However, in the document there are further columns which are only occasionally filled in, which are: straglings (men absent without leave or overextending their leave); front of ledger; neglect; slopfellers cloaths supplied by; cloaths in quarters; dead mens’ cloaths; beds; tobacco; money advance and money in six; chest; hospital; full wages; neat wages; when paid; to whom paid.
